Cookie Policy
Effective date: January 1, 2026 · Last updated: April 16, 2026
1. What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. We may also use similar technologies such as local storage, session storage, and related browser-based storage to keep the Service working, remember preferences, and maintain your signed-in experience.
2. How we use cookies and browser storage
HabitsHub uses a limited set of cookies and browser-storage technologies that are primarily used for authentication, security, navigation, and user preferences. We do not currently use advertising cookies or third-party behavioral tracking cookies in the app.
3. Technologies currently used in the app
Examples of cookies and similar technologies used by the Service include:
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| auth_token | Cookie / local storage | Helps keep you authenticated and route protected app areas | Up to 30 days unless cleared sooner |
| hh_csrf | Server/session cookie | Security and session integrity for server-side requests where applicable | Session or server-defined |
| sidebar:state | Cookie | Remembers whether the app sidebar is expanded or collapsed | 7 days |
| Local / session storage items | Browser storage | Stores lightweight UI state such as dismissal states, selected tabs, or focus lists | Varies until cleared or overwritten |
4. Third-party cookies and external services
We may rely on third-party services such as Stripe for billing and external providers such as Google or Zoom when you connect those services. Those providers may set their own cookies or similar technologies on their own domains as part of authentication, fraud prevention, payment processing, or service delivery. We do not control those third-party technologies.
We do not currently use advertising pixels, social media retargeting cookies, or third-party behavioral profiling cookies in the app.
5. Managing cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can clear browser storage such as local storage or session storage through your browser controls. Blocking or deleting essential cookies or storage items may prevent parts of the Service from functioning properly.
6. Do Not Track signals
Because we do not use advertising or cross-site behavioral tracking cookies in the app, we do not currently respond to Do Not Track signals in a separate way.
7. Updates to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable laws. We will post the updated policy on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
